‘Viksit Bharat’ Rally in Gurugram on October 7

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address a public rally in Gurugram on October 7 to mark 25 years of his public life and governance. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will attend as Chief Guest, joined on stage by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and newly appointed BJP state in-charge Smriti Irani.

The event, titled the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha, will take place at Maharana Pratap Park in Laser Valley, Sector 29, under the party’s broader Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan initiative. The gathering serves as the first major joint public appearance for the restructured Haryana BJP leadership team and marks Smriti Irani’s maiden official visit to the state since taking charge of organizational affairs.

Preparations for the assembly were reviewed on Monday during an organizational strategy session at ‘Gurukamal’, the BJP district headquarters in Gurugram. The meeting was led jointly by BJP Haryana State President Dr. Archana Gupta and State Co-In-Charge Dr. Bhola Singh. Key figures in attendance included Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh.

Dr. Archana Gupta also stated that the event’s primary objective is to build direct public participation (Jan Bhagidari) around the national goal of a developed India by 2047. She stressed that achieving a developed nation requires active societal participation alongside government initiatives, with citizens contributing through service, sanitation, education, healthcare, and environmental conservation.

Traffic diversions put in place

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to join the gathering virtually at 10 AM to deliver his keynote address, after which Home Minister Amit Shah will speak directly to party cadres and citizens assembled at Maharana Pratap Park.

In preparation for the turnout, local organizers are coordinating regional torch processions across rural blocks in Gurugram district, which will converge near Sector 29 prior to the main address. District administration and police authorities have established multi-tier security perimeters, designated vehicle parking zones, and traffic route diversions around Laser Valley Park to ensure smooth movement during the high-profile gathering.
